The climate
Famara has favorable weather conditions throughout the year . Lanzarote has a warm climate where the average annual temperature is 24º. The weather depends mainly on the wind direction and the swell. Water
Most importantly, the water temperature averages 21º. This way you will be able to surf in a pleasant and fluid environment that will not let you leave the water. The water usually reaches its maximum temperature in September. In shallow bays like Famara, the water can easily reach 25 degrees. Lanzarote’s coldest waters usually occur around March, when temperatures can drop to 17 degrees Celsius, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
