5 places to watch the sunset in Lanzarote

Atardecer Lanzarote

Who doesn’t like to sit on the beach, in the mountains or even in the city and admire the magic of the sunset. It is often difficult to find the right place to enjoy this moment to the fullest. For this reason, in this article we will show you five places to watch the sunset in Lanzarote.

Sunset on the beach of El Reducto

The first place is in the capital, Arrecife, specifically on the beach of El Reducto. It may not be one of the most famous beaches on the island, but its sunsets are worth it. Watching the sun go down behind the mountains from the beach is a good combination, don’t you think?
Besides, being in the capital it is very easy to get there by public transport, so for those who don’t have their own car, this could be a good option to enjoy a beautiful sunset in Lanzarote.

Atardecer en el Charco de San Ginés

The next place to see the sunset in Lanzarote is also in Arrecife, specifically in the Charco de San Ginés. In the Charco de San Ginés the sea enters the centre of the capital. It forms a lagoon that fishermen use to leave their small boats.
The reflection of the sunset on the water is incredible. It also accentuates the colours of the houses and boats, creating a unique magic. This area of the island is also known for its many bars and restaurants.

Sunset on the Cuervo Volcano

Another place to watch the sunset in Lanzarote is El Volcán del Cuervo. The volcano is located in the area of La Geria and offers a very interesting hiking route to the centre of its crater. 100% recommendable if you want to get to know the real magic of Lanzarote. Do this route with the last rays of the sun there and enjoy a spectacular sunset. In this case, it is impossible to get there by public transport, so you will need your own vehicle to get there.

Sunset at Montaña Bermeja Beach

This spot is located in the south of the island, very close to the small fishing village of El Golfo. A black sand beach, accompanied by a mountain with reddish tones and where you will hardly find people. Undoubtedly, an ideal place to watch the sunset in Lanzarote for those who are looking for disconnection. In this case, as in the previous one, you will need your own vehicle to get to the beach. You will love it!

Sunset on Famara Beach

And last but not least, Famara! Our favourite place to watch the sunset in Lanzarote. In case you are new to the blog and don’t know it yet, Famara is a small corner of the island famous for being a meeting place for surfers from all over the world. In fact, we could say that its beach is one of the best known in Lanzarote and so is its sunset. Without a doubt, this is one of the obligatory visits that you can’t miss.

Lanzarote hides breathtaking corners where you can enjoy dreamlike sunsets. Don’t think twice and go out to look for all these places that are waiting for you to discover them.
